right, so where were we?

Now it's pretty obvious I'm terrible at the whole regular posting malarkey.
Usual excuses I'm afraid. Essay deadlines and exams looming...

In fact, it completely slipped my mind that I STILL haven't posted this interview from the lovely Stevie from Discotheque Confusion, who you may have noticed is currently on her travels in America (lucky girl!)

I did this mini-interview a good couple of months ago....so some of the answers might be a little inaccurate now. Sorry for the lateness, but thank you so much for doing this Stevie! Some fabulous recommendations that are still on my list to check out - enjoy!

currently reading:
On The Road by Jack Kerouac

on your bookshelf:
American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, Allen Ginsberg Biography, Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo, The Tempest by William Shakespeare. This might sound impressive if it wasn't for the fact I've been reading Kerouac since Christmas! (EDIT: this was back in feb!)

most played song right now:
When I'm With You by Best Coast

three albums we should buy:
I always go back to Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie, Talkie Walkie by Air and XO by Elliot Smith

three films we should watch:
Love Story, Into The Wild, Rear Window

exhibition or play to see:
It's been too long since I've seen either! Recently went to an interesting talk on the environment with Stewart Brand and Brian Eno. So read up on the ideas of Stewart Brand and attend public talks and lectures!

three new designers you've found:
I like Michael Van Der Ham (though I hardly found him!) Proenza Schouler and Rachel Comey are consistent favourites.

three blogs to read:
www.rodeo.net/lisa-corneliusson, http://itslikethislikethat.blogspot.com/, thethinkingtank.wordpress.com

a magazine you can't get enough of:
I really love Apartamento, for interiors and lifestyle philosophy. For Fashion, 10 is always great.

an etsy discovery:
Ah, I'm too selfish to share my favourite shops! But I do have a bit of a thing for etsy pottery mugs!

best charity shop/ebay buy:
I'm finding lots of fantastic shoes at the moment. Leather, short and sturdy, strappy and 70s. Once you know what you're looking for it's easier to have success charity shopping.

outfit you've worn most recently:
Short dungarees with chunky black heels (quite short and the kind of thing my Mum would have worn to work in the 90s.) and my sheepskin coat to block out the draughts!

three items from your wardrobe:
Button down denim skirt, Margaret Howell cardigan I always steal from my Mum (it's the source of many an argument), brogue heels.

on your wishlist:
Some Wide legged jeans. Think Jane Birkin. Also, some wooden wedges.

somewhere to shop:
eBay, or get to know your local charity shops. If Vintage isn't your thing, Weekday in Sweden.

place to eat:
At Home with a group of friends around the table is always good. My kitchen is great for socialising.

place for tea/coffee:
Woodes, it's a bit of an institution in Bristol. Warm and wooden and filled with the same people each day.

favourite type of tea:
Chai

currently inspired by:
I'm always inspired by strong women.

anticipating:
The next few months- travelling and University to read American Studies at Manchester.

best advice you've received:
Always live within or below your means.

quote to pass on:
I have this quote from a fortune cookie tacked to my bathroom mirror: 'don't give up. don't lose hope. don't sell out.'
